if it isn't studio fan mail (ex. coldplay's email) they DO read it but if it is studio fan mail, you can just send your address. you don't have to say something like "your great. i love your works, etc." all i had to do was send my address and i got autographs in the mail. you can do it however u like.

Hi Im going down to the calgary expo this Saturday and I was wondering how much Anthony Daniels and Tom Felton charge for an autograph on an 8x10 photo? Please help
