Email Letters

Unread post by cluefan6 »

I dont know if this has been discussed before, I looked but couldnt find it. My question is, What do you write in an email to a celebrity asking for an autograph? Is the same as if you were writing TTM?

I am not writing to Studio Fan Mail.

There are few people who I would like to wirte to, example Cyndi Lauper.

Thank you for your help!

Writing a fan letter by e-mail should follow the same form and style as your through the mail letters. I have only e-mailed occasionally, but I have had a good number of responses from them.

Be sure to include your address at the end. Good luck! {up}

I completely agree. While I do not make a habit of emailing requests, I have on occasion - maybe 6 or 7 times and have gotten something back everytime with the exception of one, and that was the comedian Carlos Mencia. I've tried him twice by email and gotten nothing back so I'm gonna try sending him something TTM. But in either case, if I'm writing a letter to send TTM or by email, it is the exact same form and pretty much says the same thing. You still make it look like a professional letter and include your name, address and all that stuff at the bottom of the letter. I have even had several email conversations with celebrities. Most notable were Bill Engvall from the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, Larry Thomas who played the Soup Nazi on Seinfeld and Miss Virginia 2006 Adrianna Sgarlata. So that is always cool when you get personal responses back from the people you write to on top of getting a photo of them! That is a double success everytime! Good luck with your requests!
It is better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6.

yep. You can write it out on paper first if your not quite sure what to say, and then just type it into the email.

Just take ur time, don't rush. You can always erase on e-mail. I usually ask "Is there an address where I can send you fan mail and get your autograph?" it's not the best but that's all I can do..

I would say that for email requests, try and let the celebrity know that you are a genuine fan of his/her and not just someone that wants their autograph because they send out autographs through email.
