VH1 Save the Music Foundation Auction

Hey guys I have been gathering things to do an ebay auction for about 2 months now, none were autographs until I got to this site where I sent some stuff out today, though what I was hoping from you was if anyone was interested in donating an autograph or two for this cause. We are setting a goal of reaching $5,000 by the fall with this on going auction. We want to be able to help kids who cant get the chance to play or learn an instrument due to the lack of funding their school gets which causes these schools to cut the program..we have not set up the ebay stuff quite yet until we do get about 25 - 40 things to post. I do want to get the autographs up before anything else to see how they sell. So if you are interested in helping out a great cause please send me a PM with what you are willing to offer and we can go from that.

Can I ask, as 50% of the money goes to the funds, where does the other 50% go as you are a 'non-profit organisation' according to the eBay page

Although VH1 Save the Music Foundation may be a non profit organisation, the seller isn't. Therfore, at least he is being honest in saying only 50% is going to them.
Also a link to VH1's website would be benificial, as it is for their charity.

The main problem that I can see is that there is no guarantee that any money will be going to VH1. Have VH1 registered their charity with Ebay, so that people know that the precentage stated will be going to them? (Ebay automatically takes the share for the charity upon selling the item).

Just some ideas.

thanks for the input guys ... pretty much what the other half of the money goes to helping with shipping and other funds I put towards this ... but what I want to do is make a one or two time donation not multiple ones because say I make a total of $2000 out of all the autographs I obtain, 1000+ will end up going to VH1 and then on VH1's site it will state that I am a donar and so on. But I will look into it all and what not when I post the next auction. If anyone is interested in making offers I am always open to the offer, I know most people probably have one and what not but its up to you
