Ruth Riley is the most wonderful person; when I wrote to her after the Athens Olympics (which so rudely interrupted the WNBA season -_-), I got a reply around thanksgiving. Ruth handwrote me a letter, and enclosed 3 other autographed items as well: a 8.5x11 from after Detroit won the 2003 WNBA championship, a trading you get only by attending the shock games, and a 4x6 bio card about her faith and stuff. It was really cool; I just love her.

Kimmie Meissner hand wrote me a card after my cat died, and sent a signed picture; she's wonderful as well.

Hi all, {up}

I have been lucky enough to have been sent quite a bit of "unusual" stuff for the auction!

So far I have about 10 signed books - mostly autobiographies from people such as: Chris Tarrant (Presenter of "Who wants to be a Millionaire), Kate O'Mara (Dynasty & Bad Girls), Michael Palin (Monty Python), John Cleese, and several others.

I have got about 5 signed T-Shirts from people such as: Ian McKellen (Xmen T-shirt), Frank Skinner (Presenter of Baddiel & Skinner).

I received a lovely Tiffany & Co. brooch from TV newscaster, Angela Rippon.

I have also got loads of DVD's, videos and posters, key-rings and clothing (so many I will have to go through everything soon and catalogue it all!)

I know it doesn't really count as it is not my stuff (I'm just TheCollector!!!!!)

Cheers!

I got a very special autograph from a NASA flight controller when they were going to the moon in the 70'S. Glynn Lunney sent me a 2 page handwritten letter as well as two autographs. I'm 15, and the letter was all about aiming high, to keep studying hard, that if i work hard at it, I could acheive the best of things. Very inspirational.

I've gotten 2 handwritten letters and a signed picture from Terin Humphrey an Olympic gymnast. I think that's the most special things I've gotten.
