Is there still a chance?

Unread post by megadroog »

I sent a letter and a cd cover Via venue (they do pass on fanmail) to a band that performed here in Canada and still haven't received it back. I sent it back in March... Now they're touring in USA and will be going to Europe in about 3 weeks... Do you think there's still a chance they might reply or should I stop waiting :(

Also, because they performed in Canada I'm not 100% sure if I wrote "Canada" under my address because we don't need it (yeah, I know... I'm stupid)

Even if they have gone touring somewhere else you may still receive a standard reply eg a Pre Print. So you may get that, or possibly a letter saying they can no longer sign.

Sorry to say but i very much doubt you will get anything personal seen as they are no longer there , especially if you didn't write canada on it ! :D

Well they could still have your letter. I've seen VV received a year later, you still might have a chance. Maybe when they were there, they didn't have a lot of time to sign. Just wait

oh well if the celeb is nice enough he or she might just get a new envelope address to u. cause the celeb already know u paid for the stamp. OR he/she might even stop by Canada and mail it

Hi megadroog :)

There's always a chance of your reply showing up sooner or later :?

Sometimes VV requests seem to turn up a long way down the track, even though the celebrity may have long left the country.

Just hang tight, fingers crossed ... and don't give up on any of your requests

P.S. You also will have to be prepared in the event you don't see your request again too :|

It would help if you said what Band it was but besides that it's actually a good sign you haven't received anything back yet since they are still on tour which makes me believe that they are not forwarding their mail and you won't end up with the obligatory preprint, secretarial. Be patient and wait till their off tour and give it a few months hopefully it's a band that signs and you'll get a response.
Good Luck
