Today 5/17 I was able to meet Fergie Jenkins at the grand opening of the Oswego, IL Meijer store. We got there about 4 pm for the 6 pm signing. I had him sign a baseball with the inscription cy young 1971 and a postcard of his Hall Of Fame plaque; to Charlie (he asked if I spelled it with an ie or ey i told him ie he said that "You're ey now". My wife also had him sign the pic that they were giving out there as well. will post pics later on. It was a very cool event. Former Chicago Bull's player BJ Armstrong will be there Sat. I plan on attending that as well.
