I'm not quite sure 100% whether you'd receive a reply or not by only sending a SAE. There is a chance of a reply.

I would recommend you send IRC's as it'll increase your chances, but if you don't that's the risk you take.

nowandagain answered pretty comprehensively, but I still wanted to give my opinion.

There have lately been a few successes from AC Milan, so they DO answer the mail, even though some of them send autopens.

If I were You, I would send an IRC. Of course, it wouldn't be THAT big a lose to not get a reply, but I am sure You will get a reply if You do send an IRC.

And I also saw some email successes...

I recived my AC Milan reply, and I compared it to geuine signed cards i had, they were no where near it! But I would like to keep it a maybe for Kaka, as I'm not 100% sure it's a sec- for him, especially when he said in an interview that he signs.

You do not need to send an IRC, but if i were you i wouldn't bother writing to anyone exept Kaka, as theres a chance you'll recive a geuine sign.
