Thank You Letters
Hey. I was wondering how many of you guys write thank you letters to the celebrity after receiving an autograph. because i am not sure if i should or not, i think it would be nice to say thank you...but they probably won't remember me.

Re: Thank You Letters
For my charity auction, I have looked around for email addresses of the person's agent and send a quick thank you note via email (actual letter sent via post) to thank them for their time & donation.

Re: Thank You Letters
If I used e-mail to request it, I send a quick thank you e-mail.
One thing I had pointed out to me is that if everyone who wrote, got a response and then sent a thank you note, the celebrities mail would double!! The poor person would be buried in mail and I dont want to do that!
So only on special occasions so I send a thank you--but I do if it is really good.

Re: Thank You Letters
I only send thank you letters to celebrities who have obviously made a real effort to help me. I mean, I know that any celebrity willing to sugn and send something to you is doing a lot, but I sent thank you letters to John Travolta because I recieved a personally written letter from June Travolta, and to Robin Williams because he sent me 2 signed photos and a comic relief badge (signed), and to a couple of others who have sent multiple photos etc.

Re: Thank You Letters
For regular TTM successes, I usually don't bother with Thank You Letters because the celebrity is often busy and usually cannot remember you.
For really awesome TTM successes, when celebrities go "above and beyond", I usually try to send a Thank You Card of some sort.
For email successes, I usually write a quick email thanking the celebrity. They are paying for stamps, providing the photo, and responding to your request. I think that we, as collectors, are obligated to at least let the celebrity know that we are grateful for their kindness.

Re: Thank You Letters
I don't send thank you notes TTM because, like cernan said, they already have a bunch of mail to look through and they most likely wouldn't remember me anyways. But I do send thank-you's via email.
