HELP!! Question about Via-Venue addresses!

If I want to send mail to a singer at one of the locations they are performing at such as club do you usually recieve what you sent back or is it not worth to send. Please let me know because I would love to get an autograph from this person. PLEASE PLEASE. Thank you so much.

It depends on the venue and the performer. Some venues do not pass on fanmail and I would not reccomend sending anything to those places. Some performers will not sign via venue even if the venue passes on the fanmail to them.

If you are going to try, and you have found that the venu does pass on fanmailk, then it is best to send something to get signed, as it is unusual for someone to take a pile of photos to a concert

I have a question to ask... when you send a letter to an artist via venue, do you write your letter as if you were writing to the agent or the artist, or do you write a note to the people of the place and you ask them to pass the mail or picture to the artist ?

You would write your letter directed towards the artist/band or whomever you are sending to. As far as I am aware the venue will not open the letter and pass it directly onto the tour manager or someone involved with the person/group then passed on from there. Be sure to send a photo and SASE or SAE/IRC.

I always think that if you email a venue and they do not reply with whether or not they will pass on fanmail to the performer than it's definitely worth a shot sending there as if you decide not to you'll always wonder whether they would have passed on your letter, you know? lol So best you go with your gut feeling on that!
