Ian Mckellen

Unread post by Sai »

I wrote to Ian Mckellen at the address for the theater he is doing the play 'King Lear' in Melbourne, Australia. I sent two photos and SASE with stamp. Recieved both photos back today but only one signed and perzonalised to my full name *I've taken my last name out of pic for privacy reasons*. :) He started to write on the pic in one pen but it ran out and he's written over half of it again in another pen :) I'm really mad at the post office! I used a padded bag in the hopes the pic would be more protected and wrote DO NOT BEND! PHOTOS! on it and they still bent it! And it's bent across part of the autograph! Stupid Australia Post! This is the first time i wrote to someone in my own country so I was pleased I saved a lot on postage and such! lol
I'm really happy with the response though, I think Ian Mckellen is such a fantastic actor! :D

Hi Victor :D

Sorry, you're a bit late :?. The play was on from the 28th of July to the 5th of August in Melbourne.

Sir Ian McKellen is currently on a world tour of 'King Lear', so you do have a chance at writing to him at another venue. Click here for details.
