Forum for newbies?

Unread post by Nammzi »

Would it be possible to make a forum for newbies to introduce themselves in? I know that sometimes people introdue themseles in the General Discussion forum but I think it would be nie for newbis to talk to other newbies and get to know each other a bit?

Yes, but Naomi is talking about a forum, not topic.

I think it is a good idea- it would mean new members could talk together about what made them join the forum, how they got started etc. It also means moderators / experienced members could answer any questions they may have.

Yes I agree and maybe older users could help the new users by giving them tips and stuff like that

CkEMF2006,

Without meaning to sound rude, can you remove 3 of the pics from your signature? Your sig takes over an entire page of my screen, and its really unnecessary

I agree with a forum for new comers as they can share the experience and people can offer help if they need it.

go to you're control pannel > Board preferences > Edit display options > Display signatures: Yes/No
I have no problem with seeing signatures. I generally click on links in sigs a lot if the link is to an auto gallery.

My point was having one and a half pages worth of images is too much, as discussed in this thread - http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/viewtopic ... 19&t=65488 - where a moderator stated if they're too big, ask the member to reduce them. If they don't, then PM a Moderator.

A rule is being talked about on one signature only. {up} Let me know if someone has a big signature. Moderators are clamping down on big signatures.
