I have had some success with at least two bands via venue earlier this year (Supergrass and Ride), but when I tried to write to the Charlatans (May 2022), Beck (June 2022) and most recently, The Libertines (over a week ago, August 2022) via venues, I've had no success. I have contacted the venues that these artists appeared at and they have told me that they pass the fanmail on to the promoters for the artists and then it's all from there whether they choose to pass it on to the artists. This has got me worried. especially in regards to the Charlatans, because I sent a book along with cd booklets. I worry that I may have lost them forever as a result. Anyone got any advice?

I had emailed a venue asking if they passed fan mail on and received an email back stating NO they don’t, so Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, WA does not pass on fan mail.

This whole thing needs to be overhauled because there are a number of venues with different names now + some don't exist anymore. Protocols and policies at a number of places have since changed when this was last posted/edited years ago, and I do not believe there are that many large arena venues who are going to participate in forwarding fan letters.
