Hi all
I'm new to this autograph business. In fact, I only intend to get one autograph, that of Alan Shearer OBE.
From the feedback on the site it appears that people have had considerable success getting autographs from him. However, I have 3 main questions:
1. Do most celebrities give autographs to people who are not using them for a charity auction?
2. I'd dearly love to get a signed photo and my Newcastle United jersey signed too. Is that taking the piss?
3. I understand that many celebrities will only sign something to an individual so they cannot sell the autograph on. With that in mind, do I have more chance of a positive response if I ask for a personal autograph to me?
Thank you in advance for any help you give me. I am offically green when it comes to this stuff.
Cheers
Matt

Re: Alan Shearer
Celebrities will normally send you something if you are polite even if u are not collecting for charity. You could try and send your shirt but personally I wouldn't.
Re: Alan Shearer
Hi Matt,
The chances are, if you send your shirt, Alan will sign it. I have seen a few signed shirts on the forum recently, so I'd rate your chances wuite high.
Just ask in your letter if he could sign it to your name, that way it is obvious it isa personal request.
Hope that helps,

alan shearer is very good at signing ttm, i think that if you sent your shirt off to be signed them you would probably receive it back signed {thumb2} i think it is best if you asked for the shirt to be personalised that way he knows that you arent going to sell it on ebay to make money
