What exactly is via venue?

Could somebody please explain to me what via venue is? Is it when you send fanmail to a place where a movie's being filmed and a musician is performing? And if so, does the actor/musician go through all the mail that gets sent there the one day that they're there? I'm confused...any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

yep you're right! It is where you write to a temporary address (theatre, movie set etc) The celebrities don't go through the mail there and then. It is still filtered through assistants so you usually have to wait the same amount of time for a reply as writing to agencies etc.

I've found that the success rate is higher via venue for bigger stars. I got Reese Witherspoon & Dolly Parton via venue and they are notorious for not signing TTM.
