AH HELP!

I'm new to this autograph collecting but just got inspired by a few of these new movies. There's just one problem. I know that you need to send a letter and pictures to be autographed but I dont understand the SAE. Can I send these and a request without one and still get a reply???? If I put an sae in my envelope then the stuff I get in return will be folded to be put in. I just need answers. Please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok I didn't fully follow your question but I might be able to help
Right, if you're sending a specific photo to be signed by the person and don't want it bent, then I suggest sending it, your letter and SASE in a slightly bigger envelope to the person.
If you don't have a specific photo for them to sign, then you could just send your SASE in the normal envelope with your letter to them. (I've done this and although my SASE was creased due to being folded to get to them, their reply/signed photo was fine).

Including a SASE increases your chance of getting a reply, but there's no guarentee you'll get a reply even by sending a SASE and a photo to sign.
On the other hand though, there are some who will reply without you sending a SASE - it just depends who you're writing too basically.
But I would recommend sending a SASE.

Or you can fold the very top of the SASE down so it fits in the envelope you're mailing.

thanks. im just a little nervous because I sent a letter and two photos to Imelda Staunton to sign and I included the IRCs. I made the request and everything but forgot to include the SASE. She's the main person i really want to get an autograph from so i'm freaking out a little. Do you think I might still get something because I made the request, had the two pictures, and my return address on the main envelope? That should clear things up for everyone. I still have more to mail so I want to get things right before I do it. Thanks!

If you included IRC's then there is a good chance that she will reply, I'm sure that she would have an envelope around somewhere
