Re: Attn: admin
Below is the communication I've had with her over her previous avatar which read "wtf slutface". Her current avatar is not very appropriate either. Since this member insists on being difficult, could you please address this member, admin?
Hi crystal815!
Congratulations on your recent Angelina Jolie success!
I was wondering if you could please change your avatar? It's not very appropriate for our younger members to be seeing. Thank you in advance for your cooperation .

i CAN change it. however, promoting certain television shows, movies and actors, such as 'Desperate Housewives', 'Bam Margera', etc., is not appropriate for "younger members" either. Not to mention a violation of freedom of speeck. so, WILL i change it? Yes. Is it fair? Not at all.

crystal815,
Thank you for your cooperation. I hope I can clear up some confusion about the website’s policy on avatars/signatures and unsuitability. One of the rules listed when joining this website is that members will not use any inappropriate language (this would include “wtf†and “slutface†as in your avatar). And having an avatar/signature that promotes Desperate Housewives or another show like it is different since younger members aren’t being forced to watch the shows, whereas poor language is right there for them to read. It’s the same as not allowing others to cuss around my children, but no one can tell me what my children aren’t allowed to watch on television (since that would happen in my house that would obviously be up to my judgment). When any avatars or signatures are deemed to be inappropriate, admin has the right to change them although it’s been an informal policy to politely ask the member through PM to voluntarily change the avatar/signature in contention (which is what I did).
So I hope this explanation helps you understand the situation a little bit better. Thanks again for your cooperation !

Re: Attn: admin
Well, I don't understand why she didn't understand the rules of the site, but this is the last reply that I got:

Re: Attn: admin
While I agree that "slutface" is inappropriate, I don't really see a problem with "wtf". If someone knows what "wtf" stands for, then obviously they've heard it before
But that's done and over...
I also don't personally have a problem with the member's current avatar (I actually find it kind of amusing...) but if you think it is offensive, then there could obviously be other members who find it inappropriate or a bit too edgy for the site. But it seems as if this member has decided not to return anyway...so admin can delete it if he deems it necessary. {thumb2}

Re: Attn: admin
Well I think you handled it right. The word "slutface" is very inappropriate. Seeing as there is young kids on the site, they dont need to say this. I guess my adult side is coming out Im 26 LOL But I know my 12 year old brother goes around and repeats almost everything I say and sometimes its not good. LOL

Re: Attn: admin
Thanks Terrance
! Here again, it was even more the attitude of this member that bothered me. But no, I don't think any part of her avatar was remotely appropriate, although like Joey I did get a little chuckle out of her current one, even though I can imagine that it might be offensive to quite a few members.

Re: Attn: admin
Hi Lisa
I think her current avatar is ok. I've just add a poll to this thread.

I'm glad you've decided to change your mind and stay (as I've seen with your latest posts) . I don't make the rules, I just help to make sure everyone follows them...I hope you understand.
