Bill Clinton: UK Signing

Bill Clinton
Giving: How Each of Us Can Change the World
WATERSTONE'S PICCADILLY
Thursday, 4 October 2007, 11:30AM
At this exclusive event, former President Bill Clinton will be signing his new book 'Giving - How Each of Us Can Change the World'.

We are sure that you will appreciate that security measures are necessary for this event and as a result we have made some amendments to the usual signing process.

Waterstone's strongly discourages customers from bringing any bags, backpacks, briefcases or other miscellaneous items to the store. Customers will be asked to check all bags, including purses and mobile phones into a holding point.

Customers will be provided with a ticket for any property they leave, which must be returned in order to collect their belongings after their book has been signed.

Due to limited time and anticipated numbers for this event:

Customers will receive their wristband for this event when they purchase Bill Clinton's Giving - How Each of Us Can Change the World, at Waterstone's Piccadilly that morning.

Wristbands remain the property of Waterstone's and will be removed after the signing.

Wristbands will be issued one per customer and are non-transferable.

Wristbands will be issued on a first come first served basis and do not guarantee your position in the queue.

The wristband is your entry to the signing queue and does not guarantee meeting President Clinton.

Books for signing are limited to one copy of Giving - How Each of Us Can Change the World per person in order to accommodate as many of our customers as possible.

There will be no customer photography. All mobile phones will be required to be left at the bag-drop.

There will be no personal dedications.

We are expecting a large number of customers to attend this event and we hope to have as many people meet President Clinton as possible. However Waterstone's cannot guarantee entry. Please arrive early to avoid disappointment. The signing time is discretionary. All details are subject to change.

I'd love to go but I doubt I'd be able to get there early enough to be able to secure a wristband (not to mention the cost of getting there lol)

Ouch didnt read that part!

In theory though, the earlier you get there, the more chance you have of being near the front of the queue (I'd imagine?)

I'd imagine people would be queueing outside the store before it opens though, I's expect it to be a very popular event....

Definatly good luck to anyone who goes!

No idea about his touring schedule. This is his only signing in the UK.

People will be queueing from the evening before. They always do for big names at Waterstones Piccadilly, such as Paul McCartney, U2, Clinton, Julie Andrews, etc etc...

BTW/ I have details of signings for Alan Alda, Sting, Antony Horowitz, Gordon Ramsay & many more in the UK. PM me for details.
