1) 5 people to PM admin? Ignoring the fact that this could be easily covered by duplicate accounts, this would only recommend you on the basis that the autographs arrived, it'd have nothing to do with whether they're authentic or not.

2) 3 posts in that forum? Why? What difference would this make?

3) Being a JM doesnt make you more trustworthy than a regular member. Anyone can be a JM by PMing admin, so again, this would make no difference.

4) 1 month isnt long, and length of membership doesnt make a difference, I've seen people rip others of who have been members for over a year.

The forum should be closed, ideally. Its the only way to stop fakes being sold/traded.

However, this wont happen, so the improvements to the forum should be -

1) All autos for sale/trade MUST have a pic of every one posted in the releveant thread. NO exceptions.

2) All autos must be pre-approved by selected moderators before allowing them to be posted. If they are not approved, that member is not allowed to post any items for sale/trade again.

The actual becoming a "trusted seller/trader" thing is flawed in my view, it doesnt give you any protection at all, nor does it indicate a good seller/trader.

And this thread topic has been beaten to death already, I dont think its necessary to bring it up again, its like beating a dead horse

Hey fudgemonkey [rockon]

I think some of your reqs for becoming a Trusted Autograph Buyers, Sellers, and Trader.

1.) Getting 5 people to PM admin? I agree with Andy316, multiple accounts could be made to just pm "fake praise" about the user trying to become a Trusted Buyer, Seller, or Trader.
There are some users on this site who I highly suspect however that have tried to make multiple accounts and have not gotten banned. Fudgemonkey- there are some people who never even trade! They just go for a autograph!

2.) Wut's the point of the 3 posts? I mean all they could do was request for an autograph three times and theyd be done.

3.) Being a JM shouldnt matter because there are like hundreds of people who became JMs merely 3 hours after they joined fanmail. No offense to any JMs. {thumb2} ;-) 8) Refer to matslukainen's topic of the JMs reqs problem.

4.) Being a member for 1 month is a little short, maybe like 2 months. This will prove the people who are trying to become a Trusted Autograph Buyer, Seller, and Trader to be helpful and more truthful and not be a bunch of liars like crazyaddict52, or prettycrazy4life, or Brando for example.

Thanks.

I completely disagree with you...I don't think it makes any sense to make that a rule? What would it do? Nothing!

The reason people don't post every picture in each forum is because its a bit of work. If you are going to try to sell 15 autographs on one post, you don't want to have to update all 15 pictures...If someone is interested, they can PM you, and you can then provide the picture. I've done it before. It's just a time saver.
If a member has time to PM/email everyone who wants to see a pic, then they have time to upload all the pics to the thread.

If all the pics are in the thread, more opinions on authenticity can be given. FAR too many deals are done "behind closed doors" (through PM/email only), and a majoruty of these are because the seller KNOWS they're fake.

I cant seriously believe you think having to post all pics would "do nothing"

How do I sound like everyone except me lies? I've said nothing to give off that impression at all!

And no, not eveyone has a scanner, but most people have cameras, and scanners are accesible in librarys etc.

But for the record, if a member cannot supply pics of their items, then in my opinion they should not be offering things for sale/trade in the first place.

Fudgemonkey wrote: a member should be able to post pics where they want...it doesn't really matter. and where are you getting your statistics from ("a majority of these are because the seller knows they are fake"). i don't understand how you can say that...the only way you can say that and know that its true is if you were one of the frauds...but youre not, so it doesnt matter.
By asking members to PM me pics, and by seeing pics that they have PM'd other members, its a fair assumption.

This thread is getting off line, and the aggression seems to be increasing, so I'm locking this thread.
