sending something from USA to France and England
I apologize for asking this. I know there is a post on here about it, but it is by weight and I'm a little confused. I would like to send a legal sized letter with a sase inside, usually costing .41 in the USA. How much to send it to England and France. On the 9x12 sase inside that I want the celebrity to send back, how much should be on there. Usually .97 in the USA. If anyone can clarify how much postage I need and if it can be US postage I would really appreciate it. I am new at this. Thank you very much.

If it is out of the country, I usually put two stamps on the outside envelope.
As for postage for the SASE, You can't use american stamps. You will either need stamps from the country they are going to be sending it back from, or buy several IRCs to include with your letter of request.

My post office just told me that irc's are no longer available and that you will not be able to get them anywhere.

Wow, someone at your post office must be lazy. They can just reorder them, they probably just don't want to. However the price of them did change in the USA from $1.85 to $2.00. That was a while back, but some post office employees don't realize that because they see them so infrequently .

To send a legal sized letter with a 9x12 SASE inside should weigh1 ounce so it will be 0.90.
On the SASE though you can't use American stamps, so you could try to see if you can get IRCs or the country stamps on this site, internet, or post office or just send it without stamps and hope the celebrity will pay for postage.

P.S. When I send a SAE (no stamps) I usually put my address in the "to" AND the "from" part in case they don't put stamps on it, I should still get it.
