DOWN (southern metal band) success!!

Went to see DOWN this past Saturday 10/13/07 @ Pops in Sauget, IL/St. Louis, MO (either one's fine). I got there a little before 12:00 Noon and didn't leave till 2:57am. During that time I met Down's guitarist Kirk Windstein, bassist Rex Brown (ex-PanterA), Drummer Jimmy Bower, singer Phil Anselmo (ex-PanterA), and even there manager former Skid Row guitarist Dave "Snake" Sabo!! Phil didn't sign until after 2:30am when the crowd was down to a minimum, I'm just glad I was blessed with patience!! I didn't get to meet Pepper Keenan because he's a cocky jerk! He was walking around outside all day and I never saw him sign for one person even though he was asked on numerous occasions!! That's pretty bad if I was able to meet Phil Anselmo, but this guys who is nothing in my opinion without DOWN wouldn't sign a thing!! Oh well it was all well worth it!!

Oh wow! I guess I missed your posting this the other day! That's awesome! I'm going tomorrow night to see them at Bogart's in Cincinnati! I'm not planning on getting any autographs, though, but I already have Phil's, Kirk's and Pepper's. If you want Pepper, do a search in the database, he owns a bar in NOLA called Le Bon Temps Roule, I had him sign from there.

I'm really excited about this one, they're playing for a solid two hours! No other bands! We're filling a Jeep Cherokee with 9 people on the way up there (I have to drive because I'm the only sober one... ) but it should be really fun. I'm glad you had such great success.

P.S. I have to argue, Pepper is one of the best, with Down and COC, but I understand being bitter when someone acts like a jerk
