NOTICE TO ALL MODERATORS!

Hi guys,

I know, long time no see . . . .

My work schedule has now slowed down a bit, and I am should be able to be around a lot more for the forseeable future

One thing which has been raised as an issue by a few people recently, is that increasingly members are posting successes in the Feedback Forum under the headings of "Email Success from . . . " etc Unfortunately this means that some of our more unscrupulous members are going through the feedback pages and picking out "easy targets" to approach via email for autographs (whether they actually know the celeb or not )

This spamming then results in the rest of us being penalised for the bad actions of a few, as the addresses are systematically closed down.

So, I would like to ask all CP Moderators who have edit privileges in the Feedback Forum to remove all references to "Email Success/es" from the titles of posts when they enter them for the $10 Allposters draw.

The titles of success or failure posts should only really contain the name of the celeb and either success or failure - e.g "Oprah Winfrey - success!", or "Oprah Winfrey - failure! / RTS etc" anything else is really not needed.

I think this will help resolve some of the problems with Feedback reporting.

Is this going to make a huge difference? A quick search of e-mail or mailto: will list page after page of emails anyway.. :neutral: I'll remove it from the title anyway as I suppose it will only help.

I too just checked and unfortunately it still does. . . . .

I can't really see any way around this, except by removing the email references in the titles of feedback posts we will make it far more difficult for members to simply trawl through, and click on all the email successes and send rubbish emails to the addresses who have reported successes - usually without actually knowing who the successes are!

Unfortunately the "die hards" will still do a search, but without totally banning reporting of email successes from the board - I can't see a way around it.

We just need to make it a bit more difficult
