Signing your letters
Why is it important to sign your letters by hand if you do it on the computers?
please help, thanks.
please help, thanks.
Re: Signing your letters
Hey!
I think by signing your pictures by hand instead of just typing it out on the computer makes the letter seem a little more personal and not just written by a computer. It's like someone actually took the time to write and sign their name.
I always do it out of a sign of respect. I really hate it when people write to me and it's all on computer, even their signature. It feels like the letter is a bit...fake so to say.

kk, thanks
Re: Signing your letters
new to this but at the start i apologize for not hand writing it out as my hand writing is so terrible, but at the end i always sign my signature in a blue pen, which ends up proving just how bad my writing is! I would like to hand write them out to make them more personal but the celeb would never be able to read my letter or the request for an autograph. as they get so much to read through in general i like to think I'm making it a little easier on them instead of having to spend time trying to decipher my hand writing...

You want them to sign your stuff with their own hands, it would only be right for you to sign your letter!
Re: Signing your letters
I always type my letter on the computer and, after printing, I sign at the bottom of the paper.

Re: Signing your letters
I think that is well said. If I was getting letters asking for autographs, I'd like to think that the person writing to me would take the time to sign the letter.Justinsdad wrote:You want them to sign your stuff with their own hands, it would only be right for you to sign your letter!

Chrissy is right. If you write it personally, it means that you'd take some time just to show your support for the person you're writing to. Anything goes on the computer, you know? Like you can copy & paste it, etc.

Re: Signing your letters
I must hold up my hands, and say on the whole I do not sign my letters
But the way I format them, means I have had around 45 success, I understand what everyone is saying, and believe it's right.
But not all celebs are honest, with the amount of AP's or PP's or secs around.
At least most of our letters are either typed or handwritten by us.

Re: Signing your letters
It's definitely important to sign letters that you handwrite but, more importantly, type. I sign ANY letter (and date it) I write or type. It assures the celebrity, even though hand written seems more personal, that you actually took the time to write/type your letter. I always end up putting a P.S. in my letters.
