Envelope Inside Envelope Would Be A Waste. Help?
Okay so I buy I think 10x13 envelopes and 9x12 or whatever. I put the 9x12 inside of the 10x13 and mail it off.
But I'm in a situation where I don't want to waste 12(actually wait. 24) of those envelopes for such a miniscule item.
I have some football (not soccer) cards that I would like to have signed by the players on the football team. I was thinking of mailing out one smaller envelope with a regular size folded inside of it. Would this be alright? Is it a waste?
OR:
Can I mail to the whole football team at once? And just have them sign my football cards?

for football cards you can use pretty small envelopes, I think the ones I use are 5 or 6 inches long.Smuck wrote:Okay so I buy I think 10x13 envelopes and 9x12 or whatever. I put the 9x12 inside of the 10x13 and mail it off.

I dont think mailing the whole team at once would work

heya!
I use the business size envelopes for football and 4x6 photos.
I wouldn't write to the whole team at once, there's a huge risk of not getting anything back

Yeah. Like the regular size envelope folded inside of a 5x6 or 7 envelope that we have. (we are queens of odd sized envelopes).

Allow a Sports Auto collector to help on this issue
When I mail out baseball cards (football in your case) I use a regular sized 4 1/8" x 9 1/2" (standard sized) envelopes to mail everything in. I use 3 5/8" x 6 1/2" envelopes as my SASE. One stamp will work for the SASE and one stamp for the outer envelope as well.
When sending cards, write per player...never per team. Many big name stars won't sign, so if you send it to the team, likely you won't get anything back,.

It may help, if you send some index cards, for them to sign. You never know, with some players, you may get two for the price of none.
And, yes you will be safe, sending the small 6x4 or 7x5.
This may save you, a few dollars too. {thumb2}

Definitely. I have one more question;
Is just one stamp (41 cents) going to cover the postage?

Yes....one stamp will cover postage if you use my method. One stamp for the outer envelope, and if you include a SASE, put a 41 cent stamp on there too.

I will add an inside envelope but I may or may not add postage. I remember once when I forgot to add postage on one of my envelopes and the person payed it for me.
I'm debating on whether or not I should shimmy on down to the post office to buy myself a book or two of stamps..
