actually now I think of it, there are a few which are preprints, but the majority are printed over on the top of the photo.
the glossy ones are the pre prints I know of, like the will & grace cast photo.

If that's the case then, you might be able to remove the autopenned autos with acetone. You obviously will not be able to remove the pre-printed ones!
You have to ask yourself though, if the celeb supplies photos to Studio Fan Mail for them to autopen, then the chances are if you contact the celeb direct then they will have their own photos to send out anyway?
It seems like a lot of hassle to apply to SFM, wait several weeks/months only to have to remove the autopens and send them out again!
The best place I have found to download decent quality pics is http://www.altavista.com - click on IMAGES and select "LARGE" on the scroll window on the right-hand side. Then enter the celeb name/film etc in the search box, and off you go! The only pics you will be presented with are the larger/high quality ones available. Then just print out on photo paper!

Hi Bec guestBec guest wrote:Huh?
Oh no I'm just pointing out that they are infact not "all pre prints and shouldnt be able to remove the signature off" as you said on another thread linking to this one.
I don't send them to stars, was just giving my 'two cents' as you said.

I think it must depend who the SFM pic/auto is of as to whether it is a preprint or autopen. The reason I said that I thought all SFM's were preprints is that so far the only feedback I have seen for SFM has stated the pictures received were preprints.
Indeed the Admin advice thread on the forum states just that: viewtopic.php?t=2344&start=0
Cheers, and sorry if I have confused you, but check out all the postings above to find out about main subject of the conversation!
