How Long???

How long do you wait for some sort of response before you count out a success??? I've sent items out almost two months ago and I am starting to give up on getting my items back. Maybe it's just my impatience.

Agreed 2-5 months is average, but that doesn't mean you should give up after 5 months. Some autos can take years to come back.

A couple of years back, I wrote to the singer Peter Gabriel, in November 05, and got a signed postcard from him in July 06.

So at two months, you may still have a very long wait.

I agree with everyone. Two months is not that long. Just keep waiting and I bet they will come sooner or later.

I give up on it after about 4 years.

I send out quite a few requests. My longest wait was probably around 6 months but, if I really had the chance to wait that long, I'd give up after 3 years.

ON AVERAGE, a success could take anywhere from a week to 6 months.
FOR THE WAIT, It could be anywhere from 6 months to forever. Some mail you may never get back. (it's happened to me before)

It depends on who you write to, if the person gets lots of fan mail, you can wait 3 months to even 2 years! I know someone waited for 2 years to get an autograph from Fantastic 4 actor Chris Evans! :o So don't give up yet, I'm sure you'll soon get something back! {thumb2} Two months is not that long, so don't worry!

i appreciate your response . i try to stay motivated and some items i get back. but when i send one item out a month prior and another item two weeks ago and i get the item from two weeks ago before i get the one from the month then its kinda discouraging. especially when the item that i want the most hasnt been sent back yet. like i said, im impatient. and when i get some of the items back as quick as i have, then i kinda got spoiled with that and i assume that all of them should be that way.

but thanks to everyones response !!! it helps me stay motivated and active and not feel like im wasting time and $ .
