reuse stamp?
Hi, I´ve got a question. I received an autograph from USA and the stamp wasn´t rubberstamped...can I use it again? but there was no adhesive label of air mail....so I don´t knoe, if I can use only stamp....
Re: reuse stamp?
Hello Sammya!
Yes, if the stamp isn't marked then you can use it again, although I don't think it's legal...
I just got my one of my SASE's back with a Shia LaBeouf autograph with stamps I used again because they weren't marked! {thumb2} But they're marked now!

Re: reuse stamp?
Being honest, it is never ever legel to reuse stamps.
People have tried that one before, and got caught. I think it's better, not to reuse them, then having to look behind your back.

I dont think anyone should actively encourage/admit the re-using of stamps as its illegal, and yes they DO have ways of checking, and they will punish you heavily if they catch you out. Of course, admitting a federal offence online is a stupid thing to do, as you can easily be traced. Of course, not everyone gets caught, some do slip through the net. Its upto you if you decide to do it or not, but be aware the consequences are harsh if you do get caught out.
Re: reuse stamp?
Exactly what Andy said. It's illegal to reuse stamps and all though I did manage to get some stamps back unmarked, I just scribbled them out and pitched the envelope. I wouldn't want to get caught for something that can be easily avoided.

Re: reuse stamp?
I apologise if I mislead a user, everyone. I didn't encourage Sammya, I actually told her it's illegal. But at the same time I tried to answer her question, and I admit that I shouldn't admit to the reusing of stamps! ;) I apologise to everyone!
Have a great day!!

Re: reuse stamp?
Once I've put a stamp on an envelope and forgot about it... I found it under a pile of papers and couldn't send it off anymore due to the time that had passed... So I cut it out and kinda "reused" it.
They could also tell that I reused the stamp although I didn't because I've never sent it though... You know what I mean? How should they "find out" Just wondering... I'ver never reused stamps of letters I received.
