Yesterday I went up to central London, with one thing in mind, to get Dan Castellaneta, who does the voice of Homer Simpsons,'s autograph. I went up with my Simpsons DVD sleeves and pictures and pens, looking forward to hopefully meeting him. Thsi was probably my most anticipated autograph 'event' of the year, something I was very much looking forward to.

On the way to where he was performing, I passed many theatres & studios, where I managed to get other autographs, but narrowly missed out (by about 3 seconds) on Patrick Stewart, which annoyed me.. but I thought oh well that's life.

Got to where Dan was going to be performing, waited about 1/2 hour in the cold, only to see him be 'ushered' inside without signing.
It made me wonder, when have you realised that sometimes, something you really look forward to doesn't always go to plan? This was definatley my first experience where I have set out for someones autograph, and not got it. (Ie: not where I've missed him, or he's not been there, but where he's not been allowed to sign)

This isn't a post for 'sympathy' responses, but just hopefully an interestiong topic where you can share your stories where you've realised it doesn't always go to plan!

Thanks (& well done if you've read all of this!)
