FAKE SUCCESS
Ok.. I think this user is posting a fake success. There are no stamps and no post marks and the autograph looks like it was done on Paint. What should we do?

Re: FAKE SUCCESS
I dont see why you think "the autograph looks like it was done on Paint", could you explain why? It doesnt look like it to me, and there are no obvious signs of fakery in this way.
Re: FAKE SUCCESS
I don't see how the autograph itself appears fake, but as there are no stamps on the envelope I will say that it is a bit odd.

If you look closely at the first one with the envelope, it looks like it was done on paint.Andy316 wrote:I dont see why you think "the autograph looks like it was done on Paint", could you explain why? It doesnt look like it to me, and there are no obvious signs of fakery in this way.

The only part I can see done with paint is the black rectangle on the top left of the envelope which is covering an address.BABii_ANG3L wrote:If you look closely at the first one with the envelope, it looks like it was done on paint.
I'm assuming you're saying the autographed photo has been added on top of (what would be the original) envelope pic? If so I disagree, the photo is generating a shadow on the envelope if you look at the bottom 2 corners of the photo.

If you think its fake then why did you enter her into the drawing?

Well, actually, it's up to admin. If he decides it's fake, he can take it off.dgangel wrote:If you think its fake then why did you enter her into the drawing?

Re: FAKE SUCCESS
Considering many collectors think it's ok to re-use stamps that haven't been postmarked, I think it would very easily be the explaination on this success. I don't see anything else strange about it at all

Um...there were no stamps on the envelope.

Reason: I think elmomommyto2 was saying just that! They had taken the unused stamps off before they scanned!

I am with you on this one elmomommyto2elmomommyto2 wrote:Considering many collectors think it's ok to re-use stamps that haven't been postmarked, I think it would very easily be the explaination on this success. I don't see anything else strange about it at all.

I have received quite a few with absolutely no stamps on. Sometimes I get charged though!!!! Sometimes not!
Also it looks like there might be something under where the photo is placed on the second pic - maybe the postage was incorrectly affixed? I have had letters with stamps stuck in the middle

Otherwise I cannot see any dodgy stuff
