Re: Help: Who is this gorgeous lady?
Ok, James and Andy asked why write to someone if you don't know who it is? Well I've written to several in my day that when I got the autograph back and looking at the pic. they sent I was perplexed. A couple examples I recall is of Brett Somers who played Oscar's wife in the Odd Couple and Jason Wingreen who was Harry the bartender in All in the family and Archie Bunker's Place. Sometimes the pic. they send don't do them justice and if you can't make out the autograph and you don't have a list of who you sent out too it's difficult. Another example is Carlos Mencia, I received an autographed pic. from him in a suit. I had to look several times before I recognized who it was. It happens and quite honestly instead of asking the "Why did you ask for someone's autograph if you don't know who it is?" why not just see if you can help out. I see this everyday on other sites and groups and it's no big deal.

Re: Help: Who is this gorgeous lady?
I had to have known who she was to send out the request now didn't I? But people change their looks or a lot of time goes by and you can forget, or you can't read thier handwriting like in this situation.
I post everybody I request an auto from in this rather large juornal and it is quite full then when I get the auto I go back and date it when I receive the auto. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
I once sent a request to Tony Blair only to get an autograph of his wife and didn't have a clue who she WAS. I never asked for hers but received hers instead of his. I used this fourm and asked a similar question and found out who she was WITHOUT people acting like kids.
I was asking a question not asking to be insulted. This is not a place to act like kids. Please take the time to grow up or at least find someone else to pick on.
BUT in all sincerity I thank those who help solve who this lady was. I much appreciate it!!!

Yes, I did write and ask for an autograph at "As the World Turns." Again thanks for the name.
I want to mention one more thing. I am apalled that a moderator can be allowed to treat people in here like this. I've got a big problem with that.

Re: Help: Who is this gorgeous lady?
Compared to those of us in our 3o's and older, many members of this board are teens or even younger. Baring age, some people just make insensitive or rude comments. I was in a similiar situation where my fur was rubbed backwards by someone (a mod) implying that I wasn't a true Jane Seymour fan. :mad: Maybe you can just let it ride? I dunno.
I just wanted to give a shout out :o to a neighbor--I hail in TN too--and stress that I hope that you stick around this forum. {thumb2}

Not quite sure which mod you're referring to as I don't really see anything rude about this topic...the mods that posted were simply asking the obvious question that comes to mind when someone asks "whose autograph is this?"rennie64 wrote:I want to mention one more thing. Yeah, rennie64. Just don't worry. Trust me, I came across PLENTY of users on here (teens, kids, parents, adults, etc.) from everywhere. (No offense to anyone) Most people from the US have a lot of manners than most countries that don't and they think it's right to speak their mind and say whatever, even if it's offensive. Like even when I went to my country, a lot people pushed me because I was in their way and they just walked away like that. So just don't mind the rude comments because they're just useless.
