So, Ian, if anyone meets you are you rude? or are you nice? Do you put on hand sanitizer after you shake a fan's hand?TheCollector wrote:That is hysterical. Rather upsetting, but hysterical all the samemargotchanning wrote:At conventions he even bans fans from making eye contact with him and he uses sanitiser after shaking their hands. I'm surprised he doesn't snap on the rubber gloves before doing any handshaking![]()

Do you talk to your fans? get to know them?
OR
Does anybody notice you on the streets one day?
Do they know who you even are?

Wow you're pretty lucky that your mom waits famous people. I live in a place where there's no famous people lol... at least not famous enough.

Elijah Wood is one of the nicest actors I've had the pleasure of meeting, and I've met him twice. He is very down-to-earth and talks to you like you've been friends for years.
Also nice, I met the twins(James & Oliver Phelps)at a con, and they were really nice too. James was concerned for my mother and I because we had driven about 8 hours to get there, and he didn't want us to drive back in the dark, haha.

Re: rude or nice celebs
I've heard, that Leonard Nimoy (Mr Spock) can be a bit funny, with people.
Can anyone please confirm this.

Re: rude or nice celebs
Ok, big list here. I was just in the right place at the right time.
Rene Zellweiger was really nice. I met her in Houston and didn't realise who I was checking out until I asked her if she was the "Jerry McGuire Chick". I wasn't into collecting autographs then.
Lenny Kravitz was really great. I saw him at a bar in New Orleans and at a party in '95 and he signed my ex-wife's boot (it was glittered and he said he loved her boots)
Ace Frehley was hung over, so it was hard to tell.
Arlo Guthrie was really nice and suprised a guy my age knew of him.
Robert Asprin (author) was a smart a$$, but that's his personality. I used to shoot pool with him on a regular basis in New Orleans.
John Goodman was cool.
Bob Dylan was hard to understand, but nice.
Penn Gillette was super cool.
Tony Iommi was awesome.
DevilDriver (metal band at '07 Ozzfest) was super cool.
The Showdown (another metal band @ Ozzfest) was super cool.
Sugar Ray Leonard was so nice to me (I was 12 and at a Burger King).
Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) was great. My ex-wife asked him to do a Chewie sound and he couldn't but still tried. Then I did it and he told me they should have used me (LOL).
Jeremy Bulloch was very kind.
David Prowse was an a$$.
Criss Cross were a couple of arogant kids. I met them before I joined the Navy in '92.
Vincent Price I was 2 and my mom took me trick or treating in St. Louis. He said I was "a lovely child" in his deliciously creepy voice and I began to cry. We ended up spending about an hour there and I eventually warmed up to him. He kept in touch until we moved to Virginia. For the longest time, I didn't realise who he was. I just thought he was some weird relative, because me and my brothers called him 'Uncle Vince'. I wish I still had some of the things we got from him. 'Uncle Vince' was awesome!
GWAR!!! is the greatest bunch of nuts around!(my old band Emanon opened for them twice in '89 and '90).
Bon Jovi is cool.
Ron Jeremy is a trip (he offered to get me "some" once).
Whew! Thats all folks!
I almost forgot... Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top was cool, the time I met Bill Shatner, he was cool, all of the ST:Original were cool in fact (I met them at the opening of their exhibit at the Smithsonian). David Copperfield was cool (met him the same day as ST cast). The band Train was cool (I met them at a Cactus Records in Houston when they did a promo for their album). Donald Sutherland was really cool. I asked him if he wanted to sell some pot (a quote from Animal House) and he laughed. Charlie Sheen was cool, but drunk. Kato Kaelin was pathetic (he tried flirting with my date and she ignored him and called him a little snitch bi^c#. It was so funny seeing his expression, like "but, I'm Kato Kaelin...". Linda Hamilton was cool, too. I met the last 4 when they were filming a movie called "The SHadow Conspiracy" in Richmond, VA. And Joe Theismann is such a champ, along with Muhammad Ali. The old hair band Firehouse is a bunch of great guys too. All I can remember.

Re: rude or nice celebs
My cousin just called me to tell me she saw David Boreanez (with whom I am in love
) at a restaurant. Apparently he was pretty nice, considering she interupted his meal to ask him to sign a napkin which she's mailing me. I'm ESTATIC right now, since no one has gotten a success from him through the mail! Apparently he just laughed and said sure, and then scrawled his signature on the napkin. Haha I want to frame it {love}

Re: rude or nice celebs
I think that Omid Djalili, was a bit rude.
I saw one of his shows, there was supposed, to be mostly new stuff in it, so he said.
Sadly he did, a less then one hour show, with 10% new, 90% old, my 90% of this his been using for at least 3 years. BBBOOORRRIIINNNGGG.
So on his DVD/TV show/ new live show, the same old stuff. The only way to get his autograph, was to buy his DVD, for £20.
No one could, wait stage door. Nothing. The other thing was, a lot of children, where at the show, and he used much stronger swearing, then on his TV shows.
It's not just them, that did'ot like it either.
Ken Dodd, is twice his age, does a 5hr show, does not swear, and if you ask before the show, you can wait at the stage door, when his show ends at about 12.45 am.

Re: rude or nice celebs
I met all of these actors at DragonCon 2007 in Atlanta,GA.
Ray Park was awsome and supprisingly soft-spoken. I was so nervous about meeting him but he automatically tries to put you at ease. Of all the celebrities there he was the only one who offered to take a picture with me for free. When I asked him how he wanted to take it he said "we'll I 'd like to give you a hug if its alright". Sure!
Claudia Black was okay. She was polite but said that she "wasn't allowed to personalise" photos.
Michael Shanks was very nice. I just wish that I'd been a little cooler acting as I was a bit star-struck at the time.
James and Oliver Phelps were both really super. Very, very nice to fans, even when confronted with huge lines and long hours.
Matthew Lewis was very nice also.
Juliet Landau was so sweet! She is also tiny in real-life which I did not expect.
James Marsters was very cool and even took the time to answer some of my Torchwood questions. When we shook hands he not only gave a very nice *slow* handshake but also looked directly into my face and said "Oh, nice eyes." Oh yeah, melting now.
