But there is no way no knowing if the celeb 'minds'...

They know of these websites, and will check them if they get mail to their house that they don't want.

Where you got them from is irrelevant, it is against forum policy to list home addresses, and as you won't remove them, I have removed all of the addresses which are not "via team" addresses. Do not repost them, thanks.
I think you overreacted a little bit Andy316 + It's not against the forum policy ;-) Home addresses are ok if the celeb doesn't mind.

+ delltechdude is a nice guy. He is member of the message board since 15 Oct 2005.

Fanmail 8)
I'm sure I've read before how home addresses aren't allowed. And it seems hypocritcal to allow them to be posted, yet the majority of moderators (and regular members) say how using them is an invasion of privacy {down}

I also dont see what his joining date has to do with anything? :? That hardly proves hes a nice guy!

There is no way of telling if the celeb "minds", and I'm pretty sure if you ask virtually any famous person they would be against having their home address freely available.

Yes most people will only use the address for fanmail, but what about those who are stalkers? Does the name Jill Dando mean nothing to people anymore? I'm not suggesting her killer got her address of this forum (or even the net) but that really doesnt matter. This may be a fanmail forum but we have a responsibility to protect celebs too.

And admin, your reply in the original thread has now made me look like a complete idiot

Sorry if this post sounds harsh, but I cant reword it without losing its meaning.

No offense intended, but I have to agree with Andy.

I also agree with Andy.

And just because delltechdude has been a member for awhile, does not mean he is a good guy.

A member got a reply not that long ago from a home address listed on this nforum, in which the celebrity said that it was scary to get mail at their home address, and to know that many people know where she lives. I'll fish out the scan for you and post it here.

Yup, I remember sexisnottheenemy saying that a celebrity got stalked because her home address was listed on here.

I remember that too. Surely thats proof enough we shouldnt be having celeb's home addresses on a public forum? The fact that they're already on another forum is irrelevant in this case. I cant believe we're not only allowing them to be posted, but actively encouraging it too!

But like I've already said, its hypocritical, as everytime a "home addresses" thread pops up, 99% of replies say "do not use them its an invasion of privacy" etc - yet we're actively encouraging them to be posted?

Its completely ridiculous, and while I know I'm likely to "get into trouble" for my remarks in this thread, its something I feel strongly about and I won't "tone down my comments".

We shouldnt be letting members post home addresses, and we certainly shouldnt be encouraging it.

Whoops, sorry about that. I think many sports personalities don't mind and many reply from their home addresses, but some bigger celebrities do mind and don't like receiving mail from their own mailbox, I think it would be safe just to remove them for safety reasons.
