writing like this inapproraite?
hi guys
i was wondering if you could tell me if writing in such a manner would be considered inapproriate by the celebrety
using words such as "hon" or "honey" in the letter. like, can i ask "hon, .....?"
or "would you be a sweet heart and plz send me your autographs?...
and also, if i am writing to a group or a couple, can i devide up the parapgraphs to adress each one?
like
a,
i really loved you in....
b,
i think you are great.
c,
i really loved yo in....
if you guys can help me, i would grately appreciate it
thanx in advance

You are serious, about getting autographs right?
Well remember, celebs are celebs, There not you Friend/ Buddy/Mate.
If you treat, them as such, you're very unlikely, to get them to reply. Be friendly by all means, but do not get overly familary with them.

um I would never use the words "honey" "hun" "sweetheart" or anything of the sort in my letters. But that's just my opinion. When I wrote to more than one person I wrote two separate letters and put them in the same envelope. Not one combined letter.

I've done something similar to using "hun, honey, sweetheart".
Sent to three, got one back.
Depends on the celebrity, but I wouldn't reccomend doing it.
Saying I think you're a great actor, actress, etc. is fine. That's no different than what they're used to hearing. Same with "I loved you in..." That's no different that "I loved...."

Writing a celeb or writing your next door neighbor it's all a matter of respect!!!!! If you want to say you love one of their movies or whatever that's fine but Me personally it's always Mr. Mrs. Ms. (never a first name) and that's it. Anything other than that is inappropriate in my opinion and I have been doing this 34 years.

Re: writing like this inapproraite?
Your kidding right? What is the school system teaching? If you right to Joe blow in my opinion the letter should be addressed to Dear Mr. Blow,
I'm almost 50 years old and when either writing a letter or meeting someone in person regardless if their 30+ years my minor. I always address them as Mr. MS. Mrs.. RESPECT goes a long way.

Re: writing like this inapproraite?
i have to agree
use mr and mrs
but i sometimes write dear the persons whole name
and if i repeat their name in the letter it is always mr or mrs
and make sure you sound sincere and like you actually took time for them in your letter
that also goes along way!

You know what's funny? I do the same thing. It's always "Dear Whole Persons Name" and if I ever repeat the name then it's "Mr." or "Mrs." or "Ms". I would never just use their first name. Like say I was writing to Erin Daniels. I would never say "Erin" it would always be "Erin Daniels" or "Ms. Daniels".danny2010 wrote:i have to agree

Would you even do it to someone who isn't an adult? LIke a teenager? I always just write their first name...
But I do write Mr., Ms, or Mrs. when they're an adult...
