I agree lol. Here postage costs $8.20 for only 20 stamps, and $45 for a roll of them.

I have Triple "L" Horse Rescue in Brunswick, GA - we are a non profit 501(c)3 public charity. Our landlord has given us notice that he wants us to move - well, we don't have the funds to move so I am holding an auction in hopes of raising enough to help us with down payment or at least pay all the deposits and a couple months rent for when we move. He has also put a limit on how many horses we can now have at the rescue... it is 3 and anything over we have to pay an additional $400.00 a month rent.... to say the least it has been a struggle.

POSTAGE: ewwwwww --- here it is....

709 letters sent out as of today

Total Spent so far in postage alone (not counting ink, paper, envelopes, etc) $ 687.73
I am probably well over 1100.00 with everything included - and no, the rescue can't pay for it (we are deeply in the red) - I am paying that out of my own pocket (left over money after paying the bills and food).... I have no life right now, can't afford one. lol

Thanks, really appreciate that. I'll keep you all posted as to how things go.

I should say that I pay more than .97 when they go out of the country.... I can't remember what I have paid (maybe around 1.24 or so) but there have probably been about 30 so far to Canada, London and France. One day I'll sit and figure it all out - probably at the end of mailing. ewwww another headache. lol
