postage stamps at post office

Unread post by spidermanhero12 »

When I when't to the post office, I sent a photo in an envelope, but I forgot to write "do not bend" on it. However, the girl at the counter put a stamp on it herself. Is that okay?

Are you asking if it's ok that the postmaster put a stamp on your envelope? Or are you asking if it's ok that you didn't write "Do Not Bend" on the envelope?

Hello spidermanhero12! ;-)

Yes, if the sticker says "Do Not Bend" it should definitly work out fine. {thumb2} But unforunately, even if there's a "Do Not Bend" on the envelope, some postmen still completely ignore it and bends the mail! I never write "Do Not Bend" on my envelopes but most of my photos, excluding 8x10's of course, doesn't get bend! {up} Good luck, spidermanhero12! :D

Regards,
Lizanne

Yes it's ok because they're helping you. But either way for me, the postmen are harsh because they bend them anyways.

Thanks for the info and one last question, I sent out a note andp icture inside an enveloped that fit it. On the front though, It had lines where you write the persons adress and my adress. Will that decrease my chances of getting it back?

Hm..I am not understanding your question. Unless the person is not there, the post office will know where to reach you to send it back but I do not think it will decrease your chance if you write your address as the return address.

It shouldn't bend if it's big enough to put through your letterbox

My postman never bends. He slips it under the garage :)
