George W. Bush
Did anyone see the State of the Union last night? Shortly after President Bush signed 30-40 autographs for different members of congress. After he leaves office, does anyone think he'll be a good signer TTM?
Re: George W. Bush
Funny you say that cos I've just emailed the White House for the 3rd time this month today asking for one of the preprints they send out. Seems that they don't even do that anymore because I got a response saying :
Due to the large volume of email recieved, the White House cannot respond to every message. Thank you for taking the time to write.
Hopefully he'll sign good when he leaves. He'll have nothing better to do with his time

Thats what happens when email addresses get posted, people jump on the bandwagon just for the sake of adding an autograph to their collection, whether its real or not, whether they're a fan or not, etc etc. Its ridiculous and ruins it for genuine fans/supporters.Shambler wrote:Funny you say that cos I've just emailed the White House for the 3rd time this month today asking for one of the preprints they send out. Andy if you're assuming that I just 'jumped on the bandwagon', then good luck to you mate - that's your own (wrong) opinion. I'm very interested in world politics and at the beginning of the month decided to start collecting political/historical figures. Some of us who use the email option don't have any form of income and so therefore saving on postage is very helpful. If you still have a problem with that, then please buy my stamps for me ;)

I do think he'll be a good signer when he leaves office. He seems to love to sign, and he was a great signer in person during his campaign the first time!
Clinton isn't a good enough signer for me though, he signs great in person but TTM he sucks!
