Selling Publicity

It will be a while before I sell any of my autographs, but I was looking on ebay at some autographs and a lot of them only go for very small amounts, like a couple of pounds. I was wondering how people get publicity for their auctions, so people will buy them?

you could ring your local press office found in the local papers, Im selling most of my A list autographs on ebay but others I am having a big auction night and doing it that way as I will make more and I am going to ring my local paper about that when I have arranged a date

another thing you could try is when you list the item sign up to that persons fan boards and post the link?

I am not sure about this one but I thought I would suggest it anyway, In your shop window you could say selling autographs and have a phone number or website for more info. I think shop windows are relatively cheap.
