New here
I came across this website a few days ago when I got the idea to start collecting Autos. My problem is, I do not have any photos at the moment of the people I would like to send to. How many of you have had success with getting a signed pic by just sending a letter and SASE?

Re: New here
Many celebrities have their own photo to send and will more then likely send you a photo in your SASE. The only time I send a picture is when I am sending VV (Via-venue) or if I have a special picture I would like the celebrity to sign. Hope this clear things up for you

You can also send an Index Card as well. So if they ran out of photos to send they can sign that for you.

Hello! Welcome to the forum and to autograph collecting as well!
To answer your question, I have had many many successes by only sending off a letter and an SASE. Most celebrities have their own headshots and will sign and send those to you. The only time that I send my own photo to sign is if I am sending Via Venue (VV) or if I have one that I really want to get signed (such as a DVD sleeve or a CD booklet) other than that I just send off a letter. Sometimes though, if I'm unsure if a celebrity has their own photos and I don't have one, then I do send an index card, that works too.
I hope that helps! If you have anymore questions feel more than free to ask.

Welcome to the boards, HorrorAutos115! To answer your question, all of us who have sent a SASE have gotten something back. A SASE will increase your chance of getting something back quicker and it's the best way to get an autograph.

Re: New here
I would say about 3 or 4 stamps. Or two 90 cent stamps will work just fine. Also put "Do not Bend" on the SASE. So your photos will not bend. {thumb2}

It really depends on how much it's going to weigh.
