When writing to celebs, particularly footballers who may not necessarily have English as their first language - I thought it would be quite a nice gesture to write my intro and conclusion in their language. Well, at least bits of it. This is a major problem as I only speak English and a wee bit of French. Anyone know online sites that can translate basic phrases into any language for free? I need a bit of help with German, Chinese/Mandarin, Portugese and whatever language is spoken in Poland Thank you!
A word of caution..
When using online translators, you can sometimes get a sentence that means totally different from what you want it to mean! My suggestion is that if you're friends with some people on this forum, you ask them to translate for you. There's so many people from all over the world here that would gladly help you
Good luck

Thanks very much to the both of ya ldy josie x I know what you mean, if you had to say 'I admire you/your work' in English, it comes across alright, but translated into German I hear it comes across a bit creepy  I'll try and be very careful

That would be Polish
I agree with everyone else, online translators aren't to be trusted. Although I did use one to help me with my German A Level work a lot haha. Just for spelling words. I got an A though!
Favourite: David Tennant IP, John Barrowman IP, Patrick Stewart IP, Catherine Tate VV. Newest: John Simm IP, Suranne Jones IP, Jonathan Groff IP.
I speak Finnish, Swedish and German. Also I know almost Spanish, Portuguese and also bits of basic Chinese and Italian .
Feel free to contact if you need help!
I agree with not trusting online translators in case of phrases....I know what I'm telling The best thing you can do is, as almost everyone recommends you there, to ask for help members of this forum. That's what I did when I needed to translate letter to French And I'll probably do the same thing with my letter in spanish
