Lizanne/Shambler Issue?

Hello Mods!

I've been getting a few pm's from Manu08 and Andy telling me about their suspicion that Lizanne is Shambler. I don't know what to make of it. I think that this matter should have been brought up to all global moderators first and not done behind our backs. If Lizanne is not guilty it would be a huge kick on fanmails behalf and i think that if we are to demote her, we all need to vote and give reason as to why.

Fair point, but with Shambler having an almost identical IP to Lizanne (see the old thread) then this would mean Lizanne would have to fall under suspision. Not that I t hink Lizanne is clean anyway, as Ive said many times.

I send this as a PM rather than posting it on the forum for obvious reasons.

I still think Lizanne is suspect. Her and SHambler were VERY close, always chatting to each other on the forum as JMs/TMs. Then Shambler got demoted, and the chatting stopped, almost as if she was concentrating on getting the Lizanne account promoted - which it did.

Of course he/she also made a seperate theeveningoptimist account, which posts opposing views to those of the shambler account.

If lizanne and shambler ARE different people though, it would explain stuff being leaked, especially if they do still talk. But I found it very strange that they went from "thick as thieves" before shambler got demoted, to never talking once she got demoted. (I say "she" as Im thinking its a she, but dont know why)

No way admin will accept that modification, all he cares about is the total members.

Oh, and back to the subject of leaking things, Babi Angel is high on my suspects list.

He has asked me for permission to demote her. I don't want to make any choices without others input.

I think this is all getting to be a bit ridiculous. Assumptions mean absolutely nothing and they have no concrete proof that Lizanne is also Shambler. Plus, from past conversations with her and trades, I don't see why she'd have a reason to make another account and cause trouble.- but that's my opinion since I've never seen a problem with her.

What does that have anything to do with things? How do they know they didn't continue talking through PMs?

I'm not sticking up for anyone, but these assumptions have to stop. Honestly, there needs to be better proof before anything gets done.

Thats exactly what i first thought of....

1. Why and Manu08 and Andy teaming/ganging up on her and not speaking to all the moderators if they think there is a problem.

2. So.....it makes it bad to have friends on fanmail?

3. Lizanne works hard on the forum and replys nicely and helps out a lot. She is a great seller/trader. Never had issues with her.

4. We need more proof.

I found it personally very uncomfortable for them to be pming me asking for MY permission to demote her....That is not my place.

I didn't even know we had the ability to demote members? I thought we could only ban them...

Anyways, I completely agree with you on each point! I would be uncomfortable too.

We'll have to wait and see what the others think!

I've also noticed one more thing....

No one hurt me for this but...

Manu08 lights the fire in the chatroom. I mean if he didn't answer these spammers they would get bored and eventually not come back. He's also quite rude to the TM's and has given me some attitude.

I believe that you can demote a TM on your team, and Moderators on your team as well.

Although all reasonable suspicion points to that, Lizanne does appear to a good Moderator and I don't think that we can tie her to Shambler/TheEveningOptimist unless there is solid proof that the three are indeed the same member. Similar IP Addresses are suspicious, but not binding proof.

Manu08 is PM'ing me quite frequently now. He already convinced me to get rid of one controversial TM on my team that had a history and wasn't really active at all. However I'm not sure that we can act on suspicion alone. He and Andy do appear to be working together in a sense.

Info has been leaking out of the Moderator forum and if they are indeed the same people that would explain why.

I like what you all have to say. Like I told admin, PERSONALLY, I like Lizanne; she seems very responsible, understanding, and patient. Clearly, she is a good moderator.
I really don't like being pulled two ways: Manu is very persistent on wanting me to demote her (he and Andy are both convinced she is tied in to Fred West, although I highly doubt that) yet my gut feeling is that Lizanne is innocent of all these assumptions/accusations. What's more, pressure falls on me, because Lizanne is on my team, but I'm not sure what to do at the moment.

It is rather weird how Manu80 and Andy are the ones who are digging up so much information. They are really against a lot of members here.



A little off-topic here, but the user Uncle-Bulgaria keeps PMing me, just saying hi and asking for my name. He signed up on April 10, yet has not made any posts. What happened to the "5-posts-before-a-PM" thing? I know nowandagain made a post about this already, but apparently, the PM system is still a bit off.

I absolutely agree with you 100%. I don't see how it can be Lizanne at tall. This person who is Fred west is a sick and twisted person who has gone to the trouble to target young women on this forum. I hardly think that Lizanne who is a girl and i know this, would do that. I really don't.

Until we have hardcore proof that indeed Lizanne is Fred west or Shambler i think it is unfair we even demote her. It's unfair that manu80 and andy are digging up all this and putting pressure on other mods.

I also believe that if any of the moderators need to be demoted it's Manu80. Why?
1. He is rude to the TM and to other mods including myself
2. He starts fights and leads these spammers on for more
3. He doesn't act like a moderator, in the way we are supposed to make peace and handle things maturely. He really doesn't and forces other mods to make decisions.
4. He is not Admin to make these decisions. He shouldn't be tracking and digging up information and ACCUSING what could be innocent members.
