But how would you find out when a film is being filmed and where ext

Just takes a lot of searching that's all. Usually IMDb is a big help, sometimes you have to rely on a search engine, such as google solely on searching up information on a particular film. Or you search up on film commission sites. Stuff like that.

As you say IMDB is a big help, do you mean a pro account ?

Nope, not Pro. I don't believe Pro makes that big of a difference. A lot of the time the information isn't anymore helpful than the standard account.
