Member posting fake successes

I now theres no hard proof, but common sense and just looking at the autographs should be enough. Can we get a ban here, or at very least a warning? This is the kind of sh*t we need to stamp out so people stop doing it.

Hi Andy316 :)

You are probably right. He has not received his autograph via the Leavesden Studios address :?

I PM him

I don't know myself on this matter, but some of the autos do look real. Like Felton's is quite real as I have seen an IP of his and so does Wrights. Dunno about emmas honestly, but yeah. It looks secretarial honestly cause its in like one line, but yeah

I personally think there is one way to find out...do what he did lol. All the info he post is correct. Like Jane Burgess being Second Unit Director (Assistant Director) and all and everything

I dunno. I am gonna stay neutral on this. I personally don't think he is trying to screw anyone over here

Emma's is fake. I dont believe he faked them himself, but I do believe he bought them and is trying to pass them off as a success, which is slowly becoming more common it seems.

Just wondering, but how do you know it's not from Leavesden?

Hey guys! ;-)

Hmmm, I'm also not too sure whether this success is real or faked... But I have to admit why would the Second Unit Director only pass on one fan's mail to the actors? Usually they won't treat one fan better than the others. :? But as for the autographs, I agree that mabey seamuss didn't do it himself but it could be bought...

This fake successes being posted is becoming a big problem, espesially since I started moderating that forum I realised how many times I have to go and check whether this person hasn't either already posted that success (such as lexpo) or whether it's actually bought or in person. Unfortunately it would be impossible to check everyone up but we mods could try our best. And it is a big deal, because I could go and copy signed pics off the internet with one of my old envelopes into my posts and actually end up winning the $10 allposters.com gift certificate! That is so unfair, and somehow I've been a member since 2005 but I've never won the gift certificate... I would really like one of those, you know, to perhaps buy a ncie poster for my room... Ha ha! Ok anyways, the main problem is that it gives other hopeful members false hope and it screws up the database with false receive dates!

I don't think it would be too easy to find out if it's a false success or not, but we could try to keep a close eye on suspicious "successes". {thumb2}

P.S. I added him into the draw before I saw this post, so... :?

Regards,
Lizanne

Admin, has seamus replied to your PM yet?

Ive locked the thread to stop people getting their hopes up, and to stop this member getting the attention they crave.

I guess there is a slim chances they've started sending group secretarials, but doing that instead of sending the PPs as they were, doesnt make sense.

The envelope scan is strangely low quality too

While I agree that 6 in-one-go successes from Leavesden Studios has never been seen, the envelope is post-marked from the UK and he is not from the UK

Also, it is technically not directly a Leavesden Studios request, it was given to a junior director, and thats probably why the Daniel Radcliffe auto never came as he does not like to sign HP stuff because of ebay.

I dunno, I am confused myself. Any word from Seamus admin through PM?

I am gonna ask a friend who knows ALOT about HP autographs and will ask about this as well in the mean time. If this is a "fake" success post, then its quite sad. This will cause major problems for many people and fans alike.

I, personally, have a feeling its not faked as it is a "possibility" but what do I know. We will just have to see what we can gather from this whole thing
