Kelli O'Hara made her "big" debut in 1999 when she was casted as the understudy for the role of Emma Carew in the national touring (although completely different from the Broadway version) company of "Jekyll & HYDE". She overtook the role in January '00, where she continued with the role until it's end in April of that year, when she joined the Broadway cast as the understudy, for Andrea Rivette for a second time. She stayed with the show until it's closure on January 7, 2001, and if you look close enough can be seen as an ensemble member in the DVD of the show. Her next big 'original' credit came when she starred in another Frank Wildhorn show, Dracula, as Lucy; however, the show only ran from August '04 to January '05, and could be counted as Wildhorn's fourth flop and last venture on the Broadway stage. Next, she received a Tony Award nomination for her work in "The Pajama Game", and perhaps her biggest role to date came next when she starred as Clara in "THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA," at the Lincoln Center, which she also gained a Tony Nomination. She is currently starring in the first ever Broadway revival of the Pultizer Prize winning musical of 1959, "South Pacific" as Nellie.
