Will Smith IP SUCCESS!!

Unread post by Backstagepass »

I went to the UK premiere of "I Am Legend" last night. I didn't know what to expect when I arrived at the premiere early hours in the afternoon, I thought there would be loads of people and there would be no way for me to get to the front. Though there really was only about 30 people maybe? I managed to get right at the front. When Will Smith arrived the crowds went absolutely crazy for him. I had no idea what Will Smith would be like in person so I wasn't expecting a great deal. Just to see him walk the carpet was good enough for me. He signed some people on one side, came over to my side, not close to where I was though and signed some more people. He then went to see the press to do interviews and everyone near me shouted "Will" several times. I had a banner I made for him, so when he was doing his interviews he kept looking at it several times, then walked straight over to me! My camera wasn't working so I didn't get very good photos of him. He signed my banner, said hi to me and something else but I didn't quite get it. My mum was standing next to me, so she managed to my autograph book signed too. Will went further up the top to sign more fans, then came back down signed some more and just kept walking up and down the carpet signing autographs. I think he must of been signing for a least an hour an a half or something. Wasn't really paying attention to the time but he just seemed to sign what seemed like forever. I'm glad he did though, just shows he really appreciates his fans! I've been a fan of Will's for years and I never thought once I would ever meet him. For me, he's "too big of a celebrity" to even meet.

Great success. I know this was a while ago but can you tell me, which cinema was it - the Odeon, Vue or other?? I am hoping to get Will in-person this week. It is the UK premier of his lastest film called 'Hancock' at the West End Vue cinema and really want to get his autograph.

Did he only sign a few here and there or how good was he? sorry for all the questions just want a bit of advice. Thank you
