What percentage of request do you normally get answered

Unread post by BlackCelebCollector »

just wondering since i sent out 40 in the last month. i will continue to send out more as long as i think im getting a decent percentage of successful request. i have only received three so far. jus want to get a decent estimate on your returns.

I understand there are different factors but im not sending to the A LIST celebs. Ims ending to the b's , c's and d's.

i know i have to buy the a list celebrties from autograph world.

just need to know if i should be expecting half or way less than half.

It's hard to give a comprehensive answer, because as you say, there are alot of factors that need to be taken into account. I think it's reasonable to expect just a little over half of your requests back.

Since November last year I've sent roughly 170 requests, and I'm currently only waiting on 51 of those. I've had two RTS, but the rest were all some form of autograph (majority authentic).

Hi! ;)

If they're known to reply, you should get them back. {up} Last year, I sent out only 36 requests and got back 16 (that's 44% - absolutely terrible! :lol: But I messed around alot...).

Shambler, your success rate seems great actually! :D That's quite fantastic to get the majority authentic and you only started collecting last year, right? Wow, keep it up - fantastic job!! :mrgreen: Unfortunately I don't know that many celebrities that would sign. :( I have a huge to write to list but they're too famous to send authentics (I don't collect pp's anymore...). :roll: So now I write alot via venue!

Good luck collecting everyone!

Thanks Lizanne {thumb2} I think I've just been quite lucky, and it also depends on the people you send to. As you know, I'm a huge fan of many British celebs, and you'd have a better chance of getting something back from them than a big American A-lister. I guess my numbers also look that big because I basically write to every Manchester United player I can, first team, reserves, anyone! :mrgreen: I've actually run out of celebs to write to, and I'm just going to try get the 'difficult/my most wanted' ones VV now.

Sometimes I wonder if we are actually receiving all the mail/autographs we should be. Did you hear that South Africa's been blacklisted by amazon.com, because of how bad the thieving is by our post office? :neutral:

Yes, I heard about that on the news today. :shock: I immedaitely felt sweat running down my forehead! I'm expecting from quite a lot of celebrities and now I wonder how many I'll actually get back... :roll: Also, does your mail also seem to take forever to reach you, I mean, last week almost everyone got their successes from actress Marion Cotillard expect me (and I sent mine 25th March '08!)? :mad: I just really hope I get it by Friday, or else... It seems to take 2 weeks to ship from anywhere in the USA to Pretoria, and I don't think the USPS is the ones taking their time. :roll: I'm very dissapointed with the service of the SAPO and the prices are so high! I always try to send the smallest possible envelope but it costs me R 4,90! :shock:

Man United is my favourite club too! {??} I only have Ronaldo's autograph as he's my favourite but I'd love to get more! {thumb2}

Good luck collecting and I hope we do get our mail safely returned, hopefully soon! {up}

thanks for the help because if im gettin around 40% back or greater i think its worth it. But if im sending out 150 request to get back 5 or 10 its cheaper to just buy the autos

Thank you Michelle! :D I hope you hear from Ronaldo soon - I love his new clubcard (I have last season's). Yes, in my opinion, is Ronaldo, Kaka and Rooney the best players currently. Ronaldo's looks is a bonus, I admire him because of his brilliant skills - it's a joy to watch him play! {love}

Oo, Ben Barnes is one of my favourite new actors (and he's British!). {??} I can't wait to see more movies of him! Thank you, I'm glad you like my siggy, seb88 made it for me - his graphics are amazing! {thumb2}

Thanks Michelle and hopefully we will get some successes soon! {thumb2}

P.S. Michelle, you finally got your Babyshambles success? That's great, it's authentic? :mrgreen: Congratulations!! {clap}

EDIT: I just got my Marion success! :mrgreen: I'll post a topic in a few hours. {up}

Good luck collecting everyone!

I usually get back about 80/90%. However, I do usually write to Broadway people and not the Superfamous A-list celebs that you may or may not be after.
WONDERLAND:Alice's New Musical Adventure enjoyed a short, but sweet run on Broadway in Spring of 2011!
