Alright, so I am sending a shirt in a 8" x 11" envelope I am guessing. So how many stamps do you think I should put on it?

Just take it to your local post office and ask them. It's really hard for us to give you an estimate not knowing your location or where you are sending it too.
Since your profile says Virginia you can also check the USPS.com website.

In the US it depends on the weight. Try to weigh it and then check the USPS site. I will be glad to help you figure it out if you tell me the weight and where you are sending it to: US or overseas.

yupp.. i ordered a shirt through the Taylor Swift store, and it was too small and i had to send it back... i put the shirt in one of those envelopes... and i said first class and it came out to be like 1.83 or something like that.. no more than $3 for sure...
