I support Arsenal as well. I hope someday they'll change the system, like what Chelsea do, or Man Utd.
I wish that too but i would rather Liverpool player's started signing than Arsenal ;-)
Maybe someday they will........i hope.

I think my Almunia success was taken home by him to send back to me. Perhaps this means they don't have my records and would not count me as one of the people who have to wait 3 years?

When you get replies from the club you get an A4 Sized white envelope with the postage already paid on it. (well its what i have had on the numerous occasions i wrote to them) but my Almunia success was an A5 Brown envelope with this postcode: N2 166.
Whereas the clubs postcode is N5 1BU and they would surely not be posting as far away as N2 166!

Does anyone understand what I am saying?

I know what you mean about the "A4 white envelope", I had it everytime - until I got Alexander Hleb near the end of last season, I got it back in my own SASE that I sent, I just received the photo back signed. The "A4 envelope" successes I had all had the signed pic, a "thanks for your support" letter, and an Arsenal magazine thing.

Whether it means anything towards the "3 year" thing is anyone's guess...

Im shocked!! Having to wait 3 seasons is just ridiculous. Arsenal have always been bad regarding fan mail but this just makes them even more so.

Some interesting news-
Today I have been emailing Lynne Chaney regarding the autograph policy, and I asked as I have had an Almunia success if I would have more of a success if I wrote to a lesser known player eg: djourou and hoyte. Mrs Chaney replied with:
'A few players like their agents to deal with their correspondence and Manuel Almunia is one of them.'
She then went on to say that 5 players are like this.
The last messaage said this:
'Justin Hoytes Agent does at the moment deal with his mail but at the beginning of the season the players will decide if they want the club to respond on their behalf so I cannot say who agents are dealing with their mail until about September, But last year it was only five players and the club dealt with the rest of the players mail on their behalf.'

So we have the following players at Arsenal who will reply:

1.Manuel Almunia
2.Justin Hoyte
3.
4.
5.

Can anyone help to complete this list?

I hope my post has she some light on my clubs bad policy!

I would suggest that this answers the "envelope question".

The players who have the club deal with it, reply in the standard A4 white envelope, whereas the players who deal with their own mail use the SASEs fans send.

Almunia successes used the fans own SASE, so this would support that theory. I got Hleb back in my SASE last season, so I would say hes one of the 5 she referred to, so you can add him to the list, although obviously, he's left now.

I have sent to Hleb b4..but only received fan pack back..
I got Clichy & Van Persie back with my SASE..but most of the people received fanpack..
so I don't know who should we add on the list :?

Just to clear something up, the "list of 5" is not a list of "the only 5 players who sign", its just a list of the 5 players who deal with their own fanmail. Big difference.
