10"x8"'s help me please

Unread post by 1974deanm »

Hi guys
Relatively new to collecting, want to find a decent place to get cheap 10"x8" pictures.

Thats what I have been sending celebs and want to continue doing so, but have found buying pics at £3/£4/£5 a time, it becomes expensive - especially if they send back a pp or dont even send them back! wanted to know if anyone knew of anywhere with a decent stock thats cheaper!

Thanks a million in advance.

Why don't you search the internet for your own images of celebs, you can either save the images onto a CD or a camera's memory card & take the CD or memory card to a photo shop for printing them out :D

I reckon that would be cheaper than buying them anywhere :)

Good luck!

Photo paper is rather expensive, if you can I would just take them to a photo shop & get them done that way, it will probably work out cheaper, the most I have ever paid per photo was something like £0.64.

I know there are issues with copyright, but everyone seems to do it & no-one has ever had anything said to them, to my knowledge anyway. I do it all the time & I'll continue to do so :P

All the best,

Same here, that's when I started printing my own. I bought 100 sheets of HP Premium Photo Paper off ebay for $15.00 and use that. Photos try out just fine.

I got the same treatment when I went to wal-mart, but after talking to the head photo lab guy about why I was printing them off, he was really nice about it!! :D Now that's the only place I take them, and on occasion, they'll ask me how my collecting is going!! :D it's so cool! {thumb2}

Awesome. True taking them to Wal-Mart is cheaper, but if you can get a deal on photo paper like Kenny, it’s still cheaper. You could pay $60.00 for a 100 sheets of photo paper, and only waist the gas going once, or you could take them to Wal-Mart every time and have them printed off, but with the gas prices these days paying $60 at Wal-Mart once, or getting a deal off ebay is great. But that’s just my opinion.

After the walgreens thing I'm just not sending photos anymore unless I have one. I just ask for an auto and hope they send me one they have. Its more expensive to print the pisc than anything (at least 8x10)
