do you buy autographs
hey guys im wondering, if you ever go to memrobilia shows or even collectible stores and buy autographs. because i do. and im wondering if their was a collector store in your mall how often would you buy autos from their? because almost everytime i go to the one at my local mall i wind up buying a autograph. i havent the past 2 times but ive bought nice items, that werent all that much cheaper than a auto from their. i bought a heroes figure(27 bucks with tax) and yesterdayi bought 3 hannah montana cards in a screwdown toploader for 11 dollars with tax (its a triple toploader so it holds all three cards). its really nice.
but anyway do you ever buy autographs.

I only buy them if it's from an official celebrity website. We did have one inside the local mall but it went out of business.

No, "Anthony," I do not buy autographs unless like said above from an official website, and usually only for AUCTION or CHARITABLE donations type things.

Re: do you buy autographs
I buy autographs, but only from a very few UACC registered dealers that I checked and rechecked, and usually met in person at collectors shows. If I purchase an autograph, no matter from which dealer I buy from, I make sure I am very familiar with the autograph before making a purchase. For example Autographworld is one of the few dealers I have a lot of trust in, also a company named Giridion I have used in the past for some Brandon Routh items.
Some people I will probably never meet in person, so I have no problem paying for an autograph.
But I don't think I would ever buy from a store in the local mall.

I'll never buy an autograph - I have no trust in people. Also, I enjoy the chase of obtaining it myself, and if I can't get that person in my lifetime, that's alright.
AUTHENTIC, OR NOTHING AT ALL.

I dont buy Autographs either i much prefer doing all the hard work of trying to get the autograph myself and if possible getting that autograph in person so i can definatly be sure that its real. There is an autograph shop in the local mall here but some of the autographs they have and i have are different so i avoid it.

Thankyou to Lil1 for the amazing Ben Barnes Sig

Re: do you buy autographs
Yes I buy autographs, and probably do most months. Theres nothing wrong with buying autographs, and as long as you take time to actually pay attention to a potential purchase, theres no reason you'd end up getting stung by a fake.
Too many people buy autographs and then ask AFTERWARDS "Is it real?", and get angry when told its fake. I have no sympathy for people who buy autographs "blind" and end up with fakes.
Using a reputable dealer is obviously the way to go, but authentics can be found elsewhere, and yes this does include eBay, despite so many people's opinions that "eBay means fake". 90%+ of autograhs on eBay may be fake - but if you're willing to put the effort in, then that percentage becomes irrelevant.
So in short, yes, I buy autographs, and I will continue to.

Re: do you buy autographs
I often purchase autographs from official websites, mainly because I know I'm going to get an authentic autograph.
When I go to conventions, I sometimes purchase autographs from the dealer room but I only buy autographs of someone I have no chance of getting any other way. Most of my collection is ttm or IP as I
the feeling of having personalised autographs. {thumb2}
Anthony, unfortunately I don't have any autograph stores near me.
