Apologies for posting this a little late.
Last Wednesday (9 July) I attended the Australian premiere of Mamma Mia which was held at the Hoyts Cinemas, Melbourne Central. Meryl Streep, Colin Firth and Dominic Cooper were to be attending.
The venue wasn't the best place to hold a premiere, given that the venue is quite busy with many shops, an underground train station and the fact that the actual cinemas are on level 4 of the building. This meant that in order for the guests and stars to reach the cinemas they would have to snake around the venue and up various escalators to get there.
I arrived at about 3:45pm and was told to go up to one of the levels in order to stand and wait. There was one or two areas that I did particularly want to stand at, but the security guards told everyone that that area would be blocked off at 5:00pm and that no one would be standing in that area waiting (I found out afterwards that there were some people standing in that area afterwards ... how annoying). The whole first level where the stars would be arriving and the Q & A session would be held were completely blocked off by barriers. I ended up getting a spot on the third level as people would have had to walk past there on the way to the escalators to the fourth floor. I didn't see the Q & A session however (or hear it very well) given that the area I was standing blocked off the edge of the balcony so I was far back not to see anything but I could get glimpses of the red carpet below.
After the Q & A session had finished on level 1, the stars made their way to the fourth floor.
Firstly, Meryl walked by blowing kisses and waving at everyone. I didn't see her sign nor do I think she signed autographs for anyone. She walked by fairly quickly that I didn't get a chance to take any photos of her.
Colin came by a short while later and he was very nice to his fans! He was taking photos with fans, signing autographs, saying hi and waving to everyone. I did manage to get a photo and autograph from him!!
Unfortunately, while Colin was being nice to everyone I think Dominic Cooper gave the crowd a slip by because I didn't see him at all. I know there was a large group of people walking by around the time Colin started coming up to my floor where I was standing so he must have just walked by

Here is Colin's autograph that I managed to get in person:

Also, I did manage to get a number of autographs off a few other guests that attended the premiere that night. They are:
Angel (one of the Australian Gladiators)

Mark Holden (former Australian Idol judge)

Michaela Banas (actress - McLeod’s Daughters)

Tim Campbell (TV personality - Home and Away, Wheel of Fortune etc)

Tim Ferguson (TV personality)

JD (from the Australian version of So You Think You Can Dance - Season 1)

Russell Robertson (footballer and winner of TV show It Takes Two)

Additionally, here are some photos from the night:
