Which I think you lot ought to know, in case you go down one wintery night and find yourself disappointed! Will also discourage the eBayers, which is good.Thank you for your email. We already have in place a ruling that no Doctor Who or Star Trek merchandise will be signed. Only merchandise relevant to the current productions that the actors are appearing in are to be signed as and when the actors wish to do so. There is a sign clearly stating this in the window of Stage Door at the Courtyard Theatre.

Hamlet - David Tennant & Patrick Stewart
Just wondering if any fellow Britons are seeing David and Patrick in Hamlet this year? Opening night is tonight, and a few friends of mine are going, while I have to wait til November. And er.. January. Yes, am going twice. I can't wait! I may stage door it... I may not. The RSC replied to my friend re: autographs and they said:
Favourite: David Tennant IP, John Barrowman IP, Patrick Stewart IP, Catherine Tate VV.
Newest: John Simm IP, Suranne Jones IP, Jonathan Groff IP.

This is excellent news as it will keep the dealers away. I wonder if David will take any of his fanmail with him. If not we probably wont see any successes from him for a while. I am stil waiting to hear from him.
I wonder if they will sign well via venue - any thoughts??

Re: Hamlet - David Tennant & Patrick Stewart
Not sure. Patrick has been known to (recently) reply to VV, when he was doing Macbeth in New York. He replied to both Star Trek and X Men stuff. Not sure about David. But the Macbeth production obviously wasn't RSC so perhaps the RSC wont pass it on to them, or they might not allow them to sign DW/ST/XMen stuff. We won't find out until someone tries it.mymymy wrote:This is excellent news as it will keep the dealers away. I wonder if David will take any of his fanmail with him. Most people believe David signs photos and then his agents people write the dedications, in which case it's possible we'll still see a steady stream of fanmail being replied to. I'm going to try VV with him anyway, just in case. If it's not being answered, they can throw it away, or RTS, am not bothered.

Oh.
I'm going to see Hamlet and Love's Labour's Lost (really excited!!) and I rather wanted to ask David to sign my Doctor Who poster.
Still, it's not the end of the world, I'll get him to sign my programmes and try to get a pic with him. I can always send my DW poster in the mail for him to sign.

I will try them both anyway and see what happens. You never know you may see an authentic dedication from David.
Also does anyone know who I should address the letter to. I know obviously David or Patrick but when Patrick was doing Macbeth in America people addresses it to Attn: Company Manager below thier name??

I had a job interview coming up for a weekend job at Zavvi. I just cancelled it this afternoon though because I realised I'd really regret it if I got the job and missed seeing David. I missed seeing Billie in Treats and John Simm in Elling and really wish I'd gone, on reflection. It might have been years until I got another chance to see David on stage.
So, yay {thumb2}

Ohh sounds good! There's no planned understudy performances for Hamlet, and one for Loves Labours I think, can't remember what date though. So barring any major illness/injury, David and Patrick should be doing the large majority
